MTS Educational Services
Marste Training Services has agreements with CCAPP and CADTP which accept the academic hours toward Substance Abuse Disorder (SUD) counselor certification. Marste is a vocational school, also known as a trade school, which teaches job specific skills. In this case, Marste focuses on education for counselors who wish to enter the SUD field.
CCAPP requires between 315 hours of academic coursework to become eligible to test for certification. Our online school offers 6 classes that meet the requirements and prepares students to take the AOD certifying exams. Each course is 8 weeks long and is fully online. Marste also provides a 7th course (online) Practicum course which is (6-8) weeks long and covers all 6 class subjects in preparation for the exam. The Practicum/Internship is a separate course after a student has taken at least three MTS academic courses.
All students have access to the Education Director who works with them to make sure they are on the right path to certification. If you have any other credits, we can guide you as to what course(s) you would need to meet the CCAPP and CADTP requirements.
